Alonzo & Associates welcomes Clarissa Cuevas, Registered Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office

We are excited to announce the return of Ms. Cuevas to Alonzo & Associates.

Ms. Cuevas passed the difficult Patent Bar and will now serve as a Patent Agent.

Through her experience as a patent examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for over three years, Ms. Cuevas is in the unique position to help Clients through the patent process as she understands the patent examining process from her experience as a patent examiner. Her responsibilities will include:

  • reviewing Clients’ inventive ideas

  • preparing patent applications

  • prosecuting Office Actions from the USPTO

Ms. Cuevas’s educational experience includes a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Ms. Cuevas has a thorough understanding of the policies and culture at Alonzo & Associates in serving our Clients with the utmost quality. She previously worked at Alonzo & Associates, starting as an Office Receptionist and was promoted to a Research Assistant before she joined the USPTO as a patent examiner.

Ms. Cuevas is passionate about helping individuals with special needs. She is a Board Member of the Exceptional Kids Organization (EKO), a non-profit organization that provides social activities and educational enrichment for special needs participants.
